Bob is a prolific painter and is always hard at work in his studio. Here are a few of his recent works.

Resting in front of a lobsterman's co-op in Cape Porpoise was this rusting pick-up truck. It hasn't been used in some time although the crusty fishermen told the artist "she still runs." It was doubtful. Daisy's had grown up around the running boards as the old workhorse slowly settled into the sandy Maine soil. The yellow paint was quickly losing it's battle with the salty air and rust spread over it's body like a plague. Robert had seen the photo on the internet. A photographer had found it first and left a picture for other artists to come and pay homage to the last days of the Lobsterman's Chevrolet.

Title: Blue Buoys
Size: 22" x 30" acrylic on paper

Fine Art Reproductions are avaialble

In fishing villages along the coast of Maine there are usually clusters of lobster buoys piled on the docks. Early in the season the buoys are bright sporting flamboyant colors. Each boat has it's own unique colors like jockey's silks that can be identified from a distance in the choppy ocean waters.

Sandie's Dollars by Robert Stebleton

Title: Sandie's Dollars
Size: 36" x 48" acrylic on panel

Fine Art Reproductions are avaialble

Robert and his wife were in Maine visiting with friends, Sandie and Leon. After several delightful days of beachcombing and exploring the coastline, Robert asked if they had any sand dollars that he might see. Sandie smiled and produced a large box filled with sand dollars that she had gathered since she was a girl living on the coast in California. Each one was unique in color and shape reflecting where it had been collected, Pacific or Atlantic from the coast of Maine to the Florida Keys.

A bright array of colors now populates Robert's pallet. Years of painting in the somber earth tones of New England have given way to the tropical colors of Florida. A flock of flamingos living nearby have been the delightful source of a new series of paintings. The delicate pink feathers and the impossibly flexible neck bending in elegant curves provided the artist with a challenge that reflects the wide range of his talents.
